The Challenge
Managing inventory, product uploads, and promotional campaigns across four major marketplaces (Shopee, Tokopedia, Lazada, and Bukalapak) created massive logistical friction for the client. The objective was to consolidate these operations into a single, cohesive platform. Furthermore, navigating this project during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic meant all stakeholder alignments and user interviews had to be conducted strictly remotely via Zoom, adding an extra layer of complexity to understanding the users’ true pain points.
The Approach
Delivered within a tight one-month sprint, I intentionally invested the majority of the timeline into rigorous user research, brand identity alignment, and iterative testing. By mapping out the daily routines of the admins through remote interviews, I realized the goal wasn’t just to build a dashboard, but to fundamentally redesign their workflow for maximum efficiency.
The Solution: Designing for Focus
To solve the cognitive load issue, I completely eliminated repetitive multi-step wizards and the need for users to juggle dozens of open browser tabs. I designed a flat, unified interface where complex tasks—like cross-platform stock monitoring and bulk editing—could be executed seamlessly from a single workspace. The layout was engineered to be highly intuitive, ensuring that even new admins could navigate the system with minimal training.
The Impact
The redesigned dashboard directly transformed Biliva’s operational capabilities, delivering highly measurable business results:
- 80% Reduction in Human Error: By simplifying the data input architecture and removing confusing steps, data entry mistakes dropped drastically.
- 2x Faster Task Execution: Admins can now upload and manage cross-platform product catalogs twice as fast, significantly boosting daily productivity.
- Empowered Decision Making: The management team gained a clear, bird’s-eye view of their operations, making it effortless to organize and deploy promotional strategies without technical bottlenecks.
